Privacy Policy
Your text stays on your device. Here's exactly what we do and don't collect.
Last updated: August 31, 2026
The short version
The text you type or paste into VerbCount tools is processed entirely in your browser. It is never uploaded to, logged by, or stored on our servers. Some tools autosave your most recent input in your browser's own local storage so a refresh doesn't lose your work — that copy stays on your device and never reaches us. We use cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics, and may add advertising in the future, to keep the site free — both described below.
Text you enter into tools
All core tools — counting, cleanup, case conversion, and platform previews — run locally using your browser's own processing. Your content does not leave your device. For convenience, some tools save your most recent input in your browser's local storage so it survives a page refresh; this data stays on your device and you can clear it at any time using the tool's clear button or your browser settings.
Analytics
We use cookieless analytics to understand overall traffic and how the site performs — currently Vercel Web Analytics (aggregate page views and visits) and Vercel Speed Insights (real-user performance metrics such as load speed). These tools set no cookies, do not track you across other websites, and never receive the content of your text. We do not use Google Analytics.
Advertising
VerbCount does not currently show ads, and no advertising scripts are loaded. If we add advertising in the future (for example, Google AdSense), third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites, and we would implement any consent controls required before enabling it. You would be able to opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings and learn more at Google's advertising policies. See our Cookie Policy for more.
Cookies and consent
Essential functionality works without cookies, and our analytics are cookieless — so VerbCount currently sets no analytics or advertising cookies and shows no consent banner. If we later enable advertising or another tool that requires consent, we will implement the consent controls required before turning it on.
Children's privacy
VerbCount is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected clearly on this page.
