Our mission
VerbCountexists to make everyday text tasks fast, accurate, and trustworthy. Counting words, checking a character limit, cleaning up a messy list, or estimating reading time shouldn't require an account, a paywall, or a cluttered, ad-heavy page. We build clean, focused tools that do one job well and respect your time.
Privacy first
Every core tool runs entirely in your browser. When you paste text into VerbCount, that text is processed locally on your device — it is never uploaded to a server, logged, or stored. You can use our tools on confidential drafts, client work, and sensitive lists with confidence. Read more in our Privacy Policy and our Methodology page.
Editorial standards
We aim to explain, not just calculate. Each tool includes original, practical guidance about how it works and when to use it. Where we publish platform limits — like character caps for X, Instagram, or SEO meta tags — we review them on a schedule and show the last-reviewed date, so you always know how current the information is.
How VerbCount stays free
VerbCount is supported by unobtrusive display advertising. Ads are clearly labeled, kept away from the tools and their buttons, and never disguised as part of the interface. We will never ask you to click ads, and we never sell or share your text.
