What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies, like local storage, also save small amounts of data on your device. VerbCount currently sets no cookies at all — the only thing it stores on your device is local storage, described below.

Categories we use

Essential / functional

We use your browser's local storage to remember your theme preference (light or dark) and to autosave your most recent tool input so a refresh doesn't lose your work. This data stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.

Analytics (cookieless)

Our analytics are cookieless. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure aggregate traffic and real-user performance without setting cookies, without tracking you across other sites, and without ever capturing the content of your text. We do not use Google Analytics or analytics cookies.

Advertising

We do not currently use advertising cookies, and no advertising scripts are loaded. If we add advertising in the future, partners such as Google AdSense may set cookies to measure and serve ads, and we will implement any consent controls required before enabling it. See Google's advertising policies for details.

Managing your choices

Because our analytics are cookieless and we don't currently show ads, VerbCount sets no analytics or advertising cookies today, and no consent banner is shown. If advertising or another consent-requiring tool is enabled later, we will implement the consent controls required before turning it on. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some conveniences (like saved theme and autosaved tool input) may stop working.
